Dear Swim Team Families,

We are in need of several board members for the Swim Team Board. Lisa Deng volunteered at the end of season 2022 for the board and Jacqueline Taylor agreed to meet management. If you would like to be part of the board we need to get started as soon as possible. If there are no volunteers then we may not have a swim team this year. So if you are interested please let me know as soon as you can.

The Devereaux Swim Team needs two volunteers prior to the next swim team season. One position is the Tarheel Swimming Association (TSA) representative and the other is a Lead Meet Manager.

The TSA representative:

• Attends six TSA meetings prior to the swim team season, starting in October
• Holds a meet officials meeting prior to the start of home swim meets
• Addresses issues that arise during swim meets
• Coordinates with the Swim Team Board and Meet Managers

The Lead Meet Manager:

• Coordinates with Swim Team Board to set up volunteer requirements during registration

• Coordinates volunteers for home and away swim meets
• Ensures set-up of home meets
• Communicates details of meets
• Is point of contact for volunteers at swim meets

If these positions and the Swim Team Board positions are not filled by March 3, we will notify TSA at that time that Devereaux will not have a swim team in 2023. Please respond to this email if you are interested in any of these positions.
